Closure of Subclass 489
The Department has announced the transitional arrangements for the closure of the Skilled Regional (Provisional) Subclass 489 visa program. The following timeline has been provided by the Department:

Applications lodged prior to the 16 November 2019 cut off date will continue to be processed as usual.
Following the announcement of the 10 September 2019 cut off date, state, territory and regional authorities are beginning to provide information on their procedures in the lead up to the closure of the Skilled Regional (Provisional) Subclass 489 visa program.
South Australia DAMA
Immigration South Australia has indicated its Designated Area Migration Agreements opened on 7 July 2019.
The DAMA openings were delayed due to the technical issues that occurred last week caused by the large amount of traffic caused by the opening of applications for the General Skilled Migration program.
